There are numerous social media platforms available on the Internet that cater to specific groups and interests. For internal, corporate structures, there is a new social media application that has been recently developed, catering specifically to IT professionals and technological gurus.
Tibbr is the new social media platform for workplace environments that's due to be released soon by the software company Tibco. The new social media platform is centered at affording employees the opportunity to interact with one another and access any relevant information that's generated through their IT systems. The platform promises to make employees' work life easier and more engaging as they connect with and interact with the interests that brings them all together.Employees can also use the platform to subscribe to real-time event streams to gather information as well as create and contribute in their own way. The platform was specifically designed for enterprising uses, making it ideal for IT system users and more highly conducive for collaboration, brain-storming and collecting ideas. Users also get the opportunity to connect with other industry professionals in their area of expertise, sharing information, applications and technological interests. Making the idea of sharing in this way more of a social concept will hopefully make things more appealing, and foster camaraderie amongst users.
Tibco will also make the new social site available for mobile devices where users will be able to subscribe to feeds and interact. Twitter, Google Alerts and LinkedIn are some of the external platforms where users will be able to access by using their Ipads, iPhones and BlackBerry units.
The software company will host a demonstration event in London on February 1st, using one of its clients, Ciber, in a real-life case study to show how effective the platform is and how other companies can use the system and adapt it to fit their own needs.
